What next for St John's Wood Barracks?

Mark Blackburn wants your support for his work on the future of St John's Wood Barracks

The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery will move out of St Johns Wood Barracks in three years, and the site will be redeveloped. Local Liberal Democrats led by Westminster North parliamentary candidate Mark Blackburn want to make sure that what comes next is right for the area.

Mark, who lives in St John's Wood, said: "This is a prime site and early indications are that the Eyre Estate intend to build high and ugly.

"I am calling for the redevelopment of the site to be reasonable in scale and in keeping with the surrounding streets. Disruption should be kept to a minimum, and the planned 12 months of excavation is unacceptable."

Mark is asking people who support his call for any redevelopment to be reasonable and sympathetic to the surrounding area to sign up to show their support. This can be done online (http://campaigns.libdems.org.uk/sjwbarracks). People who sign up can choose to receive updates on the issue as well as updates on all of Mark's campaigning.
