LibDems ask Mayfair residents what should replace US embassy

What should happen next to the US embassy site? Have your say.
Local Liberal Democrats are asking residents in Mayfair for their views about what should replace the American embassy after it closes its Grosvenor Square home.
LibDem activists are delivering hundreds of leaflets to residents in the area so that they can have their say on the future of the site. Last week, American officials announced plans to move to Wandsworth.
Residents will be looking forward to a little more peace and quiet once the American embassy closes its doors. The demands of security have transformed the square in recent years, and made it a much less tranquil corner of the capital.
The big question is what comes next. Residents may have heard of reports that we'll see the most expensive flats in the world on the site. Is that what local people want? Let us know. We will stand up and speak out for residents.
