Local LibDem campaigner keeps eye on new Tesco

Martin will be keeping a keen eye on Tesco's new supermarket
Westminster LibDem Martin Thompson has promised to keep an eye on the new Tesco, being fitted out on the corner of Lisson Grove and Hayes Place, to make sure disruption and inconvenience to local people is kept to an absolute minimum.
Commenting, Martin said, "When it finally opens, the new supermarket will open from 7 o'clock in the morning seven days a week. It won't close until 11pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10pm on Sundays.
"I campaigned against this new supermarket, and secured the support of well over 1000 local people. Sadly, we were ignored by the Westminster Council, which gave the green light to yet another new Tesco in the area.
"After the closure of Lisson Grove's post office, I am hoping that the remaining shops can survive the inevitable financial pressure that will come from this multinational opening in their midst."
