Liberal Democrats will cut income tax
Liberal Democrats in Westminster and the City of London are welcoming the launch of their party's vision for Britain. Entitled 'Make it Happen', the paper, written by party leader Nick Clegg MP, is set to be debated at the party's annual conference, in Bournemouth in two months' time.
In the 'Make it Happen' vision, the LibDems say:
Local LibDem campaigner Stuart Bonar said, "If anyone wants to know how the Liberal Democrats would run Britain then all they need to do is take a look at this document.
"No-one here in Westminster or the City has escaped the rising cost of food and fuel. The credit crunch is hitting hard, and people are feeling the pinch.
"Thousands of local families would benefit from these policies. I urge them to take a look and let us know what they think. The vision is set to be debated at our conference in September, so send us your views and that can feed into that debate."
