Residents across Westminster and the Square Mile are being invited to take part in a Liberal Democrat survey of crime in central London.
The survey is a part of the LibDem "We Can Cut Crime" campaign. At the heart of the campaign is the Liberal Democrats' five-point plan to tackle crime:
Local LibDem Sue Baring said: "We are bringing the We Can Cut Crime campaign to Westminster because we believe we need effective action in our area to tackle crime. This is the biggest ever consultation on crime that the Liberal Democrats have conducted. People are being surveyed right across the country."
The survey can be completed by following the link on this website. Liberal Democrats will also be knocking on doors in Westminster to ask residents to fill out the surveys.
Sue Baring continued: "Many local people are fed up with living in fear of crime. We want to take effective steps to tackle crime by putting more police on patrol and taking action to take back our streets - making them safer for local families.
"Unlike the Conservatives and Labour, who offer meaningless tough talk soundbites, the Liberal Democrats are proposing effective action to tackle crime.
"Most people simply do not believe Labour ministers spinning their latest soundbite on crime. After 10 years of Labour, it is clear that they haven't managed to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour.
"We need effective action to tackle crime. The Liberal Democrats offer five simple solutions. Local people can read more about the campaign at www.wecancutcrime.com."
